Greetings!
My name is Bill Matchefts
and I have
been privileged to serve as the principal at St. Mary Luxemburg since
the summer of 2002. I am
very proud to be a part of a school with the dedication of our excellent
staff, the support of the parents and parishioners and the wonderful
children who come to school willing at and anxious to learn each day.
There are some
things about our school that I want to share with you.
First of all, we are a faithful and prayerful community.
Our students in grades 1-6 attend Holy Mass each day and the
kindergartners attend twice per month.
St. Mary recently hosted an Accreditation Visiting Team and the
Catholic Identity within the school impressed them profoundly.
We have worked to stay abreast of technological innovations in
the education of children. Our
teachers are trained to teach using the latest reading and language arts
strategies. We use the
Tribes process in each classroom to promote respectful behavior and
build community. In addition
to the school staff, we have tremendous support from parents and
volunteers. St. Mary is
viewed to be a vital part of the Luxemburg community and its future. One
way we are working to insure the school’s future is by opening a 4
year old kindergarten class in September, 2011.
As I stated at
the beginning, I am very proud to be a part of this wonderful school
community. If I can be of
service to you in making a choice as to where you want your child to
begin his or her faith journey, please contact me.
God
Bless You,
William

Greetings,
Welcome to the New Year!
This month St. Mary School will be celebrating Catholic Schools
Week from January 29th through February 3rd. We
have some exciting events planned for our students, including three
people coming to speak about their careers in the health care field.
We will begin accepting registrations for next year and are very
excited about continuing our 4K program in September, 2012.
If you have questions or would like a tour please call or e-mail
and I will make arrangements to show you our school.
Thank you for visiting the St.
Mary
School website.
