Technology in the Classroom
St. Mary School knows the value of healthy exposure to technology to enhance the school curriculum and experience. We are happy to say that we are fully updated with the latest technological advances in learning. Each student has access to a Chromebook for learning, research, iReady learning, and for MAPS testing. Every classroom is outfitted with an interactive touchscreen SmartBoard. Our teachers can utilize camera document readers. We now have fiber optic high-speed internet! Our Home and School Association sponsored the purchase of Amazon Kindles for kindergarten and first grade.
The use of technology will never replace the value of a good teacher. The online platforms we utilize (such as Super Kids Learning) only enhances what we are able to provide for the formation of the whole person and gives us the ability to connect with students who need to use "drills" to make sure their lessons stick. Our use and integration of technology fits within our Catholic values and prepares the students for their next school when they graduate from St. Mary School.
Please reach out if you have questions about our technology access in our school. Donations for technology can be made via our parish's HUG (Helping Us Grow) via online giving.
