I have been teaching at St. Mary School for the last 29 years. I began my career at St. Mary's in 1993 as a substitute teacher and was hired for the 1994-95 school year as a Kindergarten/Music teacher. Four years later, I began teaching second grade. I taught second grade for the next 15 years (with six and half years of music sandwiched in). I then taught 1st grade for 2 years and related arts for 8 years. This year, I am embarking on a new adventure as principal.
Over the past 29 years, I have worked with many great faculty and staff members, students, and parents, and I can't imagine working anywhere else. Being a part of the St. Mary community gives me the opportunity each year to work with a new group of students with unique personalities and ideas, which makes every day an adventure. I am truly blessed to be part of a great school community where I can impact so many little lives by sharing my experiences, knowledge, and faith, helping them become lifelong learners and disciples of Christ.
I live in the Champion area with my husband, Lee and our 2 dogs, Camo and my “baby girl”, Sage. We also have 3 grown sons, Zach, Tyler, and Brice. I enjoy running (half-marathons are my favorite), photography, biking, hiking, kayaking and trips to Washington Island.
